Abstract:
Provided is a device for preparing a semi-solid metal slurry, comprising a gas supply device (1), a gas guide tube (2), a stirring rod (3) and a carrying container for containing a metal melt (4), wherein one end of the stirring rod which is used for stretching into the metal melt in the carrying container is a stirring end, inside which a cavity is provided, and the gas supply device is set to inject a cooling gas into the cavity inside the stirring end through the gas guide tube when the stirring rod stirs the metal melt. Also disclosed is a method for preparing a semi-solid metal slurry using the device for preparing the semi-solid metal slurry. Cooling and stirring are performed simultaneously, such that the internal temperature field distribution of the metal melt is substantially uniform without an obvious supercooling gradient in the process of flowing due to stirring, thereby achieving that a certain proportion of approximately spherical primary solid phase is distributed uniformly in the liquid phase matrix of the metal melt.
