Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device and a method for preventing an escalator from going in reverse, the device being operated independently of a brake device such as a main brake or an emergency stop brake of the escalator and mechanically preventing the escalator from going in reverse even if a drive device or the brake device of the escalator is disabled due to a power outage or a systematic error of the escalator.
