Abstract:
The invention relates to a device and a method for producing pulse-width modulated output signals. Said device comprises detection means (10, 12) which detect at least one input variable as a reference for a pulse width which is to be produced by means of a corresponding pulse-width modulated output signal (Yi), sorting means (10, 12) for sorting according to the variable of the pulse width (Pi), and control means (10, 12) for setting the output signal (Yi) corresponding to the detected input variable, for starting a timer (16) with the smallest pulse width (P1) which is not equal to zero, and for resetting the output signal (Y1) corresponding to the smallest pulse width, when the timer (16) has run out.
