Abstract:
The invention pertains to the regulation and specification of pump rates of blood pumps. The invention relates to a device and a method in which blood pressures are monitored upstream and/or downstream of the blood pump, and said values or another value formed from said values is compared with a threshold which depends on an operating parameter of the blood pump or a pump parameter of the blood pump. When the threshold is violated, the pump rate of the blood pump is changed or a new pump rate is determined such that the threshold is no longer violated or the degree of the violation is reduced.
