Abstract:
A device and a method for removal of harmful substance capable of increasing a treating efficiency, eliminating the discharge of carbon dioxide gas, reducing the size of the device to reduce a production cost, and performing a heating treatment at a rather low temperature to reduce a running cost by heating a crucible (30) to a high temperature in a closed low pressure oxygenless state; the device, wherein a cooling container (82), traps (86c, 86b, 86a) for liquefying gas, and traps (94a, 94b, 94c) are installed between the crucible (30) and vacuum pumps (90, 98) to close passages between the crucible (30) and the vacuum pumps (90, 98) for generating suction forces, a screw (50) for inputting and outputting treated matter into and from the crucible (30) is installed, the treated matter is inputted into the screw (50) from an upper inlet member (58) for shielding the inside of the crucible from the outside, and the treated matter is discharged from the screw (50) through a lower discharge member (60) for shielding the inside of the screw from the outside, whereby the treating efficiency can be increased since the treated matter can be decomposed without opening the crucible (30).
