Title:
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR REMOVING UREA-DERIVED DEPOSITS IN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2018/030178
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
A device 110 for removing urea-derived deposits in an internal combustion engine is provided with a purge control unit 101 for executing purge control to remove urea-derived deposits, which are derived from urea water supplied from a urea SCR device 60 disposed in an exhaust passage 30 of an internal combustion engine 10. This purge control unit: executes purge control every time a preset first time duration elapses; and executes purge control irrespective of whether or not the first time duration has elapsed if, upon measurement of a low-temperature operation time duration, which is an operation time duration of the internal combustion engine in which the temperature of exhaust upstream of the urea SCR device is equal to or less than a prescribed temperature, the measured low-temperature operation time duration exceeds a preset second time duration.
