Title:
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR SUPPLYING FUEL IN INTERNAL COMBUSTION ENGINE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2015/136745
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention pertains to a device and method for supplying fuel in an internal combustion engine, in which the rate of fluid discharge and fuel injection pressure of a fuel pump are controlled according to the operating state of the internal combustion engine. Provided are a device and method for supplying fuel in an internal combustion engine in which vapor production can be suppressed during idle stop periods while fuel pressure following engine warm-up can be lowered to improve fuel consumption. A device for supplying fuel in an internal combustion engine variably controls fuel pressure in accordance with the working state of the internal combustion engine, the fuel pressure being fed from an electric fuel pump to a fuel injection valve, wherein the electric fuel pump continues to be driven for a predetermined period after fuel injection by the fuel injection valve has been stopped when the internal combustion engine is stopped in a warm-up state, and pressure in the fuel pipes is raised to a fuel pressure for counteracting vapor. Production of vapor during idle stop periods can thereby be suppressed even if fuel pressure following engine warm-up is lowered.
