Abstract:

The invention relates to a device and method for the thermal regulation of recirculated exhaust gases from a motor vehicle. The inventive device comprises main means (16) for heat exchange between the recirculated gases (12) and a heat-transfer liquid (14), and supplementary means (28A) for heat exchange between the recirculated gases (12) and a fluid conveying negative kilocalories from a cold source (22) of a heat pump (18). Preferably, the cold source (22) of the heat pump comprises at least one first refrigerant fluid/heat-transfer fluid heat exchanger (28A), known as an evaporator, said first evaporator (28A) supplying negative kilocalories to the recirculated gases.
