Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device and method for transferring flammable materials, which are capable of safely transferring flammable materials without risk of explosion or fire by using a hydraulic motor as a driving source for operating a compressor or a pump when transferring the flammable materials such as LNG in an offshore structure. The device for transferring flammable materials in an offshore structure which is used to transfer the flammable materials in the offshore structure from one place to another, according to the present invention, is a device for transferring flammable materials in an offshore structure, comprising: a pressing means mounted in a risky area to transfer the flammable materials in one direction by pressing the flammable materials; and a hydraulic motor for driving the pressing means, wherein the hydraulic motor is mounted in a dangerous area with the pressing means, and a transferring method using the same.
