Provided are: a device and a method for transporting a stage roll unit; and a stage roll unit transporting cart. The present invention comprises: a loading deck (111) having accommodating parts (N1, N2) for accommodating a stage roll unit (40); a first vehicle wheel (112) that can move the loading deck (111) in an X-direction (first horizontal direction) in which the stage roll unit (40) is replaced; a second vehicle wheel (113) that can move the loading deck (111) in a Y-direction (second horizontal direction) crossing the X-direction; a first raising/lowering device (103) that can raise/lower the first vehicle wheel (112) with respect to a traveling surface (G); and a moving device (104) which is disposed on the traveling surface (G) side, and which raises the first vehicle wheel (112) from the traveling surface (G) by the first raising/lowering device (103), and can move the loading deck (111) and the first raising/lowering device (103) in the Y-direction while the second vehicle wheel (113) is grounded to the traveling surface (G).
