Abstract:
A device and a method using stepped cooling to recover ethane from natural gas. The recovering device comprises: a cold box (1), a low-temperature separator (2), a demethanizer (4), a de-ethanizer (6), a propane heat exchange system (14), and an ethylene heat exchange system (16). A natural gas outlet of the cold box (1) is connected to the low-temperature separator (2). A liquid phase outlet of the low-temperature separator (2) is sequentially connected to the demethanizer (4), the de-ethanizer (6), a de-ethanizer top condenser (7), a de-ethanizer top reflux tank (8), the propane heat exchange system (14), and the ethylene heat exchange system (16). A gas phase at the top of the demethanizer (4) is sequentially connected to the cold box (1), an expander (3), and a product gas compressor (11). The recovering device reduces the load on a refrigerant compressor in a cooling portion of the ethane recovering device, adapts to changes in composition of a raw gas, consumes less power, has a low single compressor power requirement, has low costs, and is easy to operate.
