Abstract:
The present invention relates to setting a communication path which can address the occurrence of a communication problem and error between an electric vehicle charger and a charging server, and, more specifically, the present invention relates to a device and method for addressing the occurrence of a communication problem between an electric vehicle charger and a central server for the charger. A feature of the present invention is to complete a charging service by overcoming a communication problem in a simple and stable way, based on the idea that, in case communication is suspended due to a problem with every communication channel of an electric vehicle charger even if all the charging service functions of the charger are perfect, the way that is most stable and easiest to access for recovering the communication channels is that a charging customer establishes an alternative communication channel via a personal portable communication device of the customer which is easy for the customer to operate and works in a way familiar to the customer, allowing the customer to respond easily even in an emergency. Accordingly, the present patent invention relates to a device and method for varying a communication channel, which, in case a problem occurs with a communication channel of an unmanned electric vehicle charger and consequently a charging service is suspended and alternative communication is required, allow a charging customer to establish a communication channel, and to recover the communication channel between the charger and a central server to complete the charging service, by using a mobile communication (smart) device carried by the customer, without having to wait for a service agent to take a recovery measure.
