Abstract:
A device for monitoring an area around a work machine selectively displays a vicinity display image wherein a neighboring region that is set around the work machine is displayed as a bird's eye view seen from above the work machine, and a wide region display image wherein is displayed a wide region including a predetermined range that is further outside the neighboring region set around the work machine. If the position of a worker is not located in a preset monitoring region, a wide region display image is displayed. If the position of the worker is located in the preset monitoring region, a vicinity display image is displayed. The vicinity display image is an image wherein said bird's eye view is displayed around an illustration of the work machine. The wide region display image is composed of a reduced view of the vicinity display image, and an image which schematically shows a scene outside the neighboring region.
