Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to obtain a ketogenic diet monitoring device for individually managing ketogenic diet efficacy in animals. This ketogenic diet monitoring device is configured to monitor by measuring, once or multiple times over time, the volume of metabolites in gas expelled from the interior to the exterior of the body of an animal in which ketogenic diet efficacy is being managed. The ketogenic monitoring device 1 comprises: an intake information acquiring unit for acquiring information on the volume of ketogenic diet being taken into the body of the animal; an acetone concentration measuring unit for measuring acetone concentration, which is the volume of acetone in gas expelled from the interior to the exterior of the body of the animal; and an assessing unit for assessing the ketogenic diet metabolic state of the animal on the basis of the ketogenic diet intake volume information acquired by the intake information acquiring unit and the acetone concentration information measured by the acetone concentration measuring unit.
