Abstract:
A device for monitoring the state of a plate spring, the plate spring being installed in a railroad vehicular carriage and having a fiber-reinforced resin containing electroconductive reinforcing fibers, and the reinforcing fibers having reinforcing fibers that extend in the longitudinal direction of the plate spring, is provided with a pair of electrodes disposed on the side-end surfaces on both sides in the width direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the plate spring, with the plate spring in between the electrodes, and a measuring instrument for measuring the electrical characteristics of the plate spring, the measuring instrument being electrically connected to the pair of electrodes.
