Abstract:
A device for mounting, removing, and replacing a bulb is provided with a long handling bar (P), which is the main element of the device, held by worker's hands and reached out to a high place, a chuck device (C) provided on the upper end side of the handling bar (P) and used to sandwich and hold the glass portion of the bulb, and an operating device (F) provided to the lower end side of the handling bar (P) and used to operate the chuck device (C). The chuck device (C) for holding the glass portion is equipped with an arm holder (1), bearing brackets (3a, 3b, 3c), chuck arms (2a, 2b, 2c) pivotably supported by the bearing brackets (3a, 3b, 3c), tension springs (4a, 4b, 4c) for holding the upper ends of the chuck arms (2a, 2b, 2c) in a closed state, a receiving pad (10) for receiving and supporting the top surface of the glass portion, guide bars (5a, 5b, 5c) for rocking the upper ends of the chuck arms (2a, 2b, 2c) in the opening direction against force of tension springs (4a, 4b, 4c), and a bar holder (6) for holding, in a tube of the arm holder (1), the guide covers (5a, 5b, 5c). The device is constructed such that the upper ends of the chuck arms (2a, 2b, 2c) can be rocked in the direction of opening by the guide covers (5a, 5b, 5c) when the arm holder (6) is pulled down by the operating device (F).
