Abstract:
A device port detection method and apparatus. The method comprises: receiving a virtual local area network (vlan) test packet which is sent by a tester, which is forwarded through a first device port and which carries a line speed bandwidth corresponding to a tester, the line speed bandwidth corresponding to the tester being smaller than that of a to-be-detected device port; transferring the vlan test packets between a first preset quantity of virtual ports preconfigured on the to-be-detected device port and the first device port; and sending, to the tester, the vlan test packets received after being transferred for the preset first quantity of times, and detecting the packet loss rate of the vlan test packets by using the tester, and determining, according to the packet loss rate, whether the to-be-detected device port normally runs in the line speed bandwidth condition.
