Abstract:
Disclosed is a device for preparing ammonium propionate, comprising a main reaction kettle. A connecting box isolated from the main reaction kettle is attachedly provided on a side surface of the main reaction kettle, and another side of the connecting box is provided with an auxiliary reaction kettle that is provided symmetrical to the main reaction kettle by using the connecting box as the center. The main reaction kettle and the auxiliary reaction kettle have the same structure and are provided as mirror images of one another. An upper part within the connecting box is provided with a transfer pipe and a return pipe. The transfer pipe and the return pipe are parallel to one another and both communicate with the main reaction kettle and the auxiliary reaction kettle. By means of providing two reaction kettles and by means of a transfer pipe and return pipe having a one-way valve being connected between the two reaction kettles, it is ensured that an excessive amount of ammonia gas is present within a single reaction kettle, thereby ensuring that a reaction is sufficient. Moreover, an excessive amount of ammonia gas will cause the pressure in a reaction kettle to increase, causing one of the one-way valves to open when sensed that pressure is too high, and the excessive amount of ammonia gas is transferred to the other reaction kettle, which not only ensures the high purity of ammonium propionate under an excess reaction, but also avoids the waste of raw materials.
