Title:
DEVICE FOR PREVENTING ACCIDENT CAUSED BY SUDDEN UNINTENDED ACCELERATION IN VEHICLE
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2016/085200
Kind Code:
A1
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for preventing an accident caused by sudden unintended acceleration in a vehicle. A device for preventing accidents caused by sudden unintended acceleration, which is electrically connected and installed between a fuel supply line and an ignition device of a vehicle, cuts off fuel by actuating an electromagnet that is connected to a current through the operation of a timer switch at a set engine rpm of the vehicle, or cuts off the supply of fuel through the fuel supply line by actuating opening/closing means via the electromagnet that is deactivated by a current breaker that blocks an electrical current, and has a rotary switch installed therein that frequently changes the direction of current to the ignition device connected to the electromagnet. Thus, there are following effects. The device can be economically manufactured due to a simple structure. Accidents caused by sudden unintended acceleration can almost entirely be prevented by cutting off the supply of fuel whenever a vehicle reaches an unintended acceleration engine rpm and by preventing the magnetization of an opening/closing valve by frequently changing the direction of current in an electromagnet.
