Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for preventing a user's mouth from opening during sleep. More specifically, the invention comprises: an upper lip support member attched to the upper lip; a lower lip support member attached to the lower lip; a lower jaw support member attached to the lower part of the lower jaw and having a protruded fixture which protrudes forward in the center of the lower jaw support member to prevent retreat to the neck, is bent upward, and is held in the front of the lower jaw; and a coupling means which couples the members through coupling-holes formed in both sides of each member, keeps the shape thereof, and attaches the members to the user's face. The invention relieves dry mouth syndrome, snoring, and sleep apnea. The lower jaw support member supports the lower jaw when the jaw opens due to relaxation of the mouth muscles while sleeping. The upper and lower lip support members located on the upper and lower portions of the lips respectively prevent the mouth from opening by completely attaching the lower and upper lips to each other. Therefore, the device for preventing a user's mouth from opening according to the present invention can suppress mouth breathing. In addition, the device improves disorders such as dry mouth syndrome, snoring, and sleep apnea by inducing nose breathing, helps to strengthen weakened mouth muscles, minimizes discomfort caused by wearing by minimizing contact area with the skin, and can be used as a lower-priced aid for relieving dry mouth syndrome, snoring, and sleep apnea by simplifying the structure thereof.
