Title:
DEVICE AND PROCEDURE FOR SHAPING HUMAN HAIR AND HAIR ON ANIMAL BODIES
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2014/076512
Kind Code:
A2
Abstract:
The device for shaping human hair (hairs, hair in the pubic area etc.) and hair on animal bodies contains a set of pre-defined devices: shapers (10) open on both the upper and lower parts, as well as two changeable demounting handles (6) for holding the device (10) in the fingers of one hand. The basic part of the device (1) ends in its lower part with a sharp edge, which in a variant solution can have a soft perimeter (4)-(5) that is replaceable for hygienic reasons, when intended for one-time use only. The slightly bent form of the basic part (1) is adjusted to the body's contours and the lower sharp perimeter enables precise definition of the edges of the desired decorative shape. The device (10) adheres to the area (11) where the desired shape is to be created, during which a good overview and therefore precise treatment of the enclosed area (11) is enabled with the device (10), as well as of area (12) outside the device shaper (10). First, the pressed hair is pulled upwards with tweezers and outside the perimeter of the device in order to achieve precise definition of the edges of the desired decorative shape. Then, using the known procedures of depilation, epilation or some other method of shortening, the hairs in area (12) outside the device (10) are removed. The device (10) is then removed, and the hair of the created shape (11), which was enclosed within the device (10) before removal, is then shortened to the desired length. The created desired shapes within the device shaper can be coloured using the standard procedures for hair colouring.

PATENT REQUESTS

1. Device for shaping human and animal hair, characterised by having the basic part (1) of the device (10) designed as a retainer ring of the desired shape, and by being manufactured from solid material that is resistant to disinfection procedures. There are two slots (3) on its upper perimeter designed to fit the insertion of handles (6) with cylindrical ends (7), thus enabling rotation of the handles (6) with the purpose of their ideal adjustment to the position of the fingers.

2. Device (10) from request 1, characterised by by having a slot (2) along the lower perimeter, which serves the insertion of a replaceable soft perimeter (4).

3. Device from request 1, characterised by alternating perimeter (4) made of soft, artificial material, with a sharp bottom perimeter so that it does not cover but rather separates the hairs in the place where it touches the body into hairs within and outside the device (10), and on its upper perimeter (5) the edge is profiled for inserting into the slot (2) or the basic part (1) of the device (10).

4. Device from request 1, characterised by basic part (1), in the simpler variant is made of one part with a sharp lower edge without replaceable perimeter (4)-(5).

5. Device from request 1, characterised by handles (6), which in the lower part have a cylindrical end (7) with callosity (8), which wedge - using a click system - within the torques mechanism (3) of the basic part (l).

6. Device from request 1, characterised by handles (6), which have dents for the fingers to rest in, and with ribs (9) that prevent slipping when working with the greasy creams often associated with epilation and depilation.

7. Device from request 1, characterised by basic part (1), which on the bottom side is slightly bent in a concave manner in order to adhere more precisely to the body's contours.

8. Procedure for shaping human and animal hair, characterised by the device (10) from request 1 by holding the handles (6) with the fingers of one hand and by leaning with the sharp end onto the overgrown part (1 1) that needs to be shaped in a way that separates the area encapsulated by the device (10) from the overgrown area (12) outside the device, during which there is a full overview of both areas, which remain fully accessible.

9. Procedure from request 8, characterised by pulling pressed hair from within and outside the device (10) with tweezers while holding the device (10) on the target area, thus separating hairs within the encapsulated area (1 1) from the hairs (12) outside the device (10), which enables precise definition of the edges and desired shapes.

10. Procedure from request 8, characterised by, after the precise separation of the area outside the device (10), according to request 9, hairs around the device's edge (10) and the surrounding area (12) being removed by the known procedures of depilation, epilation or some other known method of shortening.

11. Procedure from request 8, characterised by, after removal of hairs using epilation, depilation or some other known method of shortening from area (12) around the device (10) from request 1, the device being removed, and the hairs of the enclosed area (1 1) being shortened to the desired length using an electric trimmer, or manually - with comb and scissors.

12. Procedure from request 8, characterised by the fact that the device (10) from request 1 also enables colouring of the desired shape using the standard hair colouring procedures.

TECHNICAL PROBLEM

This invention solves the problem of separating hair, pubic hair, hair in overgrown zones on the human body and hair on animal bodies, with the aid of variously designed devices, and the known methods of epilation, depilation and shortening are used both within and outside the device to create with precision a variety of desired shapes.

STATE OF THE ART

Searching the national database did not yield any results that offer a simple solution to the identified problem. Manual shaping of the desired forms in a classical way requires a great deal of effort and skill; it is therefore expensive and takes a lot of time, and many, more complicated shapes remain impossible to create in a geometrically precise manner without using outlines or shaping devices.

The international patent database contains application PCT/NL/ 2010/050175, which describes a device used to form shapes with only one handle. The deficiency of this design lies in the fact that when the often greasy preparations used in different methods of epilation and depilation are applied, it is difficult to reliably hold the device with one handle in the desired position, causing it to slip frequently during treatment. The second deficiency of this particular solution is that the device covers the area upon which the desired shape is to be created, and the handler therefore cannot obtain an overview of the concealed hair, thus obstructing precise work. The problem of covering the hair becomes even more significant when it is necessary to leave longer hair on the part of the body where the shape is to be created. Leaving longer hair is particularly important for forming the desired shape when the hair is sparse or light, because the desired shapes are formed in a pleasing manner when hairs are left longer.

The third deficiency is that the covering of hair by the device obstructs the precise separation of hairs within the device from those outside the device, which diminishes the precision required to define the desired shape.

REVEALING THE ESSENCE OF THE INVENTION

The essence of this invention lies in the different designs of the top- and bottom-opened devices 10 for forming hair, pubic hair, hairs, hair in overgrown parts of the human body and also hair on animal bodies. The hairs are separated into those within the device 10 and those outside the device, which on the lower edge finishes with a sharp bottom that can be designed to be replaceable for hygienic reasons, that is, to enable one-time use of the edge 4 that touches the skin, in places such as cosmetic salons, where different forms are created in a professional manner. Given that the device is open at both top and bottom, the user has a great view of the areas inside and outside the device and the possibility of separating hair, pubic hair, and hair within and outside the device. The precision required to define the desired shape is enhanced by the sharp end of the lower edge of the device, which excludes the possibility of even minimal coverage of hair, pubic hair, and hairs.

The purpose of the invention is to enable the precise definition of desired shapes of hair, pubic hair, overgrown hair on the human body (head, chest, pubic area etc.) or hair on animal bodies, with the aid of differently designed shapes of the device 10, which can be designed in several sizes. With the basic intention of forming the desired shapes, the device can also be used for selective colouring of hair, pubic hair, hair on overgrown parts of the human body, and also hair on animal bodies. The basic part of the device 1 has two contrariwise slots 3 that fit ends 7 of the handle 6 with callosity 8, which ensures locking of the handles 6 into basic part 1, using a click system.

The handles 6 can be rotated in the slots 3 for the purpose of precise adjustment to the position of the fingers of one hand, by which the device 10, which is placed against the overgrown part where a shape is to be created, is held in the desired position. Basic part 1 is slightly bent so that the bottom edge is firmly fixed and follows the body's contours. The concave design of handle 6 on the side towards the fingers has non-slip ribs 9 that prevent slipping when greasy depilation and epilation products are used, thus enabling better adhesion to the fingers.

In the first, simpler design of the device 10, the basic part 1, with apertures on the upper and lower ends, is molten from one piece. In the more complicated version there is a slot 2 along the lower perimeter of the basic part 1; the slot fits extension 5 of the profiled changeable rim for one-time usage and is made of soft plastic materials (silicone etc.) Basic part 1 of the device and handles 6 are made of materials (polypropylene PP and thermoplastic polar-hydrophilic elastomer TPE or aluminium etc.) that can endure disinfection and washing in hot water, as well as contact with depilation and epilation products.

The hairs on the external part of device 10 are removed using epilation, depilation or shortened by already known procedures.

PROCEDURE

The device 10 is held by the handles 6 with the fingers of one hand and leaned against the target area in the desired position, in which it is kept during the procedure. Pubic hairs pressed by the device 10 are pulled upwards with tweezers, along the entire perimeter of the outer rim of the device 10 and are then separated into those in area 1 1 within the device and those in 12, outside the device 10, which secures precise definition of the edges of the desired shape.

The hairs in area 12 outside the device 10 are then removed using the known procedures of depilation, epilation or other methods of shortening, for example, with electric trimmers, after which the device 10 is removed. After having removed device 10, the desired shape can be additionally shortened using scissors.

If beautifi cation is performed by colouring, area 1 1 within the device 10 can be precisely coloured with known procedures for colouring hair.
