Abstract:

The invention relates to a device for processing wet biomass by frying, comprising a first tank (1) containing a first oil bath (108) that is kept at a temperature for frying the biomass, a means for feeding the biomass into said first tank, a second tank (2) containing a second oil bath (211) at a temperature lower than said frying temperature, the first and second tank being communicating spaces, a means (3) for transferring fried solid material from the first tank into the second tank, and a means (210) for discharging the fried solid material out of the second tank. A means for keeping the oil in the first bath at a temperature for frying the biomass comprises a means (401) for collecting oil from the second tank, a means for heating the collected oil, and a means (412) for injecting the heated oil into the first tank.
