Abstract:
Disclosed is a device (100) for producing absorbent articles which is provided with a lower press roll (110B) pressing an outer edge section (81) corresponding to the outer edge area of an extended part (50) of a continuum consisting of a plurality of sheets connected together. The lower press roll (110B) is provided with a plurality of rear convex parts (115) which project outward in the radial direction of the roll and press the rear end sloped section (81S) corresponding to the rear end sloped area (51) in the outer edge section (81) of the extended part (50). The extension direction (LD2) of the rear convex parts (115) differs from the extension direction of a rear end outline (87) which follows the shape of a rear end sloped part (50B) in the rear end sloped section (81S).
