Abstract:
A device (100) for producing directly reduced iron which is equipped with: a direct reduction furnace in which an iron oxide is contacted with a reducing gas to directly reduce the iron oxide; and a circulation part (20) in which the water and carbon dioxide that are contained in the gas discharged from the furnace are removed to obtain a reducing gas which is to be introduced into the direct reduction furnace (30). The device (100) for producing directly reduced iron is further equipped with: a heating furnace (40) in which a fuel gas having a lower heating value of 2.9-3.8 MJ/Nm3 is burned to heat the reducing gas; a first heat exchange part (13) for preheating the fuel gas; and a second heat exchange part (15) with which the air for combustion to be supplied to the heating furnace (40) is preheated by means of the heat of discharged combustion gas.
