Abstract:
Disclosed is a device that is for producing a magnetic recording medium and that enables the formation of a lubricant membrane at an even thickness on the surface of the magnetic recording medium. This device for producing a magnetic recording medium is provided with: a hanger mechanism (2) that is inserted into the central hole (100a) of the magnetic recording medium (100) and supports said magnetic recording medium (100) in a hanging state; and a raising/lowering mechanism (3) that performs a raising/lowering operation on one of either the hanger mechanism (2) and an immersion tank (1) with respect to the other. The hanger mechanism (2) has: support plates (4a, 4b), the upper end of which contacts the inner perimeter of the magnetic recording medium (100); and wave-preventing plates (7a, 7b) that are disposed facing the support plates (4a, 4b) providing a gap between the inner perimeter of the magnetic recording medium (100) and the upper ends of the wave-preventing plates (7a, 7b), which are positioned lower than the upper ends of the support plates (4a, 4b).
