Abstract:
The present invention relates to a device for protecting a power semiconductor element inside a power conversion device receiving a DC input, by using a current limiting DC-fuse and a surge absorber (SA). A device for protecting a DC power conversion semiconductor element by using a current limiting DC-fuse and a surge absorber comprises: a DC fuse for disconnecting a converter when overcurrent caused by a high voltage DC power occurs between electrical devices; a power conversion device for converting input DC power to AC power and providing the converted AC power to a system or a load; and a surge absorber (SA) for absorbing overvoltage (surge voltage) instantaneously generated at a time of fusing the DC fuse between the DC fuse and the power conversion device.
