Abstract:
The present invention raises the efficiency of removing contaminants from scrubber drainage water. A purification device 1 is used on scrubber drainage water that has been drained from an engine exhaust gas treatment device 2 of a ship, wherein the purification device 1 has a filtration membrane 4 that filters the scrubber drainage water. A method for purifying the scrubber drainage water includes using the filtration membrane 4 to filter scrubber drainage water that has been drained from the engine exhaust gas treatment device 2 of the ship. The scrubber drainage water may be seawater.
