Abstract:
Disclosed is a device for reducing the frictional resistance on a ship that is capable of mixing air into seawater through automatic suction without a process for generating microbubbles being influenced by the pressure of the seawater, and has a simple structure with low installation and application costs. The device for reducing the frictional resistance on a ship (3) has a bypass water pipe (12) with a shaft line above the waterline (WL), that is disposed on a water pipe (1) connecting a seawater intake (111) disposed on the bow (31) below the waterline (WL) and a seawater and microbubble vent (131) disposed on the ship bottom (33) below the waterline (WL) and farther back than the aforementioned intake (111); and an ejector (21) that is disposed in the aforementioned bypass water pipe (12).
