Title:
DEVICE FOR REGULATING A HEATER
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO/2012/175298
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention relates to a device for regulating a heater, said device comprising an electric servomotor for a flow valve and an associated control unit that are powered by an accumulator which itself is powered by a thermogenerator which draws energy from the heater that is to be regulated. The field of use of thermogenerators on heaters goes hand in hand with an environment with high temperature differences, especially between the heater material and the ambient air, said differences being used for generating energy using diverse materials and techniques. The demands of the short-term phases of high electricity consumption, especially during operation of the servomotor for the heater valve, can be met by the accumulator that is practically continuously being recharged. The disadvantages of existing heater thermostats are thus avoided and the regulator receives a sufficient supply of energy throughout its entire lifespan without a change of battery being necessary.
