The device for road vehicle adhesion increasing consists of a casing (9) having an inlet opening (10), a driving unit (1) and a coupling shaft (2) equipped with a spreading device. The coupling shaft (2) is formed as a vertical shaft equipped with crushing segments (4) and with a spreading segment (6), the lower, peripheral part of which is formed as a shutter (7) retaining free outlet openings (8). The coupling shaft (2) is connected with the driving unit (1) equipped with an electromagnet (13) arranged for acting against the force of the compression spring (3) placed between the coupling shaft (2) extension and the casing (9) roof, to initiate a reversible vertical movement of the coupling shaft (2). The casing (9) is equipped with a vibration unit (11) and with a heating unit (12).

Patent claims

1. Braking anti-drift device for increase of adhesion in front wheels of vehicles, especially for safe stopping on slippery surface, consisting of drive unit which includes dispersing segment. Dispersing segment then consists of drive unit (1) and connector (2), which is provided with pressure spring (3), crushing segments (4), fixating segment (5) and dispersing segment (6). Bottom part of dispersing segment (6) then provides cover (7) of outlets (8). Body for anti- drift compound (9) is then provided with filling openings (10), vibrating unit (11) and heating unit (12). Heating unit is specific in terms of its horizontal movement of connector (2) is consisted of electromagnet (13) and pressure spring (3)


Area of device

Invention is based on braking anti-drift device for increase of road vehicles adhesion, especially for purpose of safe stopping on slippery surface, which is created by mobile unit together with dispersion segment.

Existing state of technology

Until now, increase of adhesion in the front wheels on slippery surface is mostly solved by attaching snow chains to respective wheels. Same solution is used for back wheels. Above mentioned solution to increase adhesion of front wheels is however bringing also substantial disadvantages.

By far the biggest disadvantage is that the snow chains are attached to front wheels even when vehicle is crossing through section without layer of snow or ice. At such section driver is obliged by law to remove snow chains to reduce negative effects on road ' s surface. This process requires to stop the vehicle for removal of snow chains and eventually another attachment.

Another option to increase adhesion with slippery surface in the winter time is use of so- called liquid chains, which are applied to periphery of drive wheels. This solution is known for it's temporary effects and relatively low effect considering the adhesion in the front wheels on slippery surface. In case of sudden collision, this option offers very small chance of vehicle successfully stopping.

Third option to prevent uncontrolled drifting of vehicles is device under acronym ABS, which in situation of imminent collision can substantially help stop the vehicle. This device offers many advantages and is indisputably significant helper in terms of road safety. However not even this device cannot guarantee safe stop of vehicle.

Principle of invention

Above mentioned drawbacks are solved by braking anti-drift device for increase of road vehicles adhesion, mostly for safe stop on slippery surface. This device consists of drive unit in connection with dispersion segment. Dispersion segment then consists of drive unit, connector, which is provided with pressure spring, crushing segments, fixating segment and dispersing segment. Peripheral bottom part of dispersing segment then serves as cover of outlet hole. Dispenser of anti- drift compound is provided with filling inlet, vibrating unit and heating unit, also the horizontal movement of connector is then created by electromagnet in connection with pressure spring. Device according to invention significantly increases adhesion of the front wheels on slippery surface and partially increases adhesion of back wheels. This contributes to safety of traffic. This device can also be connected with devices already present on the market, most recognizably with device under acronym ABS. This contribution significantly increases probability of safe stop of the vehicle on the slippery surface covered with snow or ice. Advantages of above mentioned device are visible mostly with unexpected weather, for example with occurrence of unexpected icing or unexpected snowfall in critical segments of roads, for example bridge constructions or short forest sections with no sunlight.

Another advantage of this device is effective start of the vehicle, that was forced to stop on the hill that is covered by ice or snow. Device can also be used to secure vehicle to prevent it from undesirable side-slip from road due to excessive slope of the road. For maximum effectiveness of adhesion to surface in extreme conditions is possible to attach device under every wheel of road vehicle or special terrain vehicle.

To secure optimal function of above mentioned device, it is necessary to adjust shape and measures for every type of vehicle separately. This also includes single inlets and outlets of anti-drift compound into body of anti-drift compound and governing elements, that are necessary for functionality of above mentioned device.

Clarification of blueprints

Invention shall be clarified with blueprint on picture no. 1. Picture no. 1 describes device which consists of drive unit and which is on the end of connection provided with dispersing segment in it ' s horizontal state.

Examples of invention realization

Anti-drift braking device according to picture no. 1 consists of drive unit 1, which initiates movement of connector 2. Connector 2 is on its outer layer provided with pressure spring 3, this in combination with electromagnet 13 enables vertical movement of connector 2. When drive unit is enabled, Connector 2 fixation is secured by fixation segments 5, consisting of bearings or openings in upper or lower part of connector 2. Connector 2 can be rotated up to 360 degrees or cycle up to 180 degrees. Crushing segments 4 may have different shape and sizes.

Connector 2 is on its perimeter provided with crushing segments 4. Crushing segments function is also consisting of mixing anti-drift compound in body where anti-drift compound is stored 9. Bottom part of Connector 2 is provided with dispersing segment 6 whereas its peripheral part 7 closes inlets 8 when upward vertical movement is detected. Inner part anti-drift compound body 9 is provided with vibration unit 11 and heating unit 12 preventing freezing of anti-drift compound due to low outside temperatures.

Dispersing segment 6 may have different measures, forms and technical realizations, including its operational quality in different angles and positions. Reason behind such differences stems from different models of vehicles which have different technical and shape solutions of their bottom body, where dispersing segment 6 is attached to provide maximal adhesion of wheels to slippery surface.

For dispersion of anti-drift compound from dispersing segment 6 on the slippery surface is used centrifugal force of segment rotations 6. Apart from this solution can be used individual air compressor that is excluded from this device. I ndustrial applicability

Above described device for increase of adhesion in front wheels can be used at all types of vehicles, especially those which are used in extreme cases and extreme terrains.
