The device for sizing tubes by applying liquid pressure comprises a dismountable matrix (2) with a lock, which matrix is arranged on a bed (1) and is provided with a horizontally-orientated sizing channel (3) which is conformed to a tube (7), a mandrel (6) for arranging the tube (7) in the sizing channel (3) along an axis threof, a means for supplying a liquid into a gap (10) appearing between the mandrel (6) and the tube (7), a seal (19) for pressurizing the gap (10) appearing between the mandrel (6) and the tube (7), and a hydraulic impact unit (24) for exerting a pressure on the liquid in the gap (10). The hydraulic impact unit comprises a working chamber (34) filled in with the liquid and a vertically-orientated receiver (30) with a barrel (25) in which a ram (26) is moving in order to exert a pressure by impact in the working chamber (34). The working chamber is connected with the sizing channel (3) of the matrix (2) through an adapter (36) connected to the sizing channel (3), in which adapter a piston (37) is arranged in order to separate the liquid filled in the working chamber (34) of the hydraulic impact unit (24) from the liquid supplied to the gap appearing between the mandrel (6) and the tube (7).
