Abstract:
A device (1) for sorting- and binding-processing of banknotes, the device (1) being constructed from a banknote-processing device (2) incorporating a stacker (16) and also from a banknote-binding device (3) incorporating both a binding section (3) and a stacking section (21) for binding operation. The device (1) is also equipped with a banknote-conveying section (13) for conveying banknotes, which are inserted from a hopper (11), on a banknote-conveying path (18) including a first conveying path (18A), a second conveying path (18B), and a third conveying path (18C); a branch section (13A) for directing the banknotes, which are conveyed on the banknote conveying path (18), to the stacker (16) or the stacking section (21) for binding operation; and a post-binding conveying section (26) for releasing a banknote bundle bound by the binding section (22) to a bundle-releasing opening (23) provided near the hopper (11). When one hundred banknotes to be bound which are stacked in the stacking section (21) for binding operation are bound, the post-binding conveying section (26) releases the bound banknote bundle from the releasing opening (23) provided near the hopper (11), and this improves the work efficiency of an operator.
