Abstract:

A device for splitting monolithic objects comprises a casing (1) consisting of at least two cheeks (2) mounted with the possibility of their movement in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (3) of the casing (1), a dividing arrangement (4) mounted in the casing (1) coaxially to its longitudinal axis (3) and wedge insertions (24), between which are mounted elastic expansion chambers (6), the dividing arrangement (4) consisting of two identical parts (27), between which are mounted an additional elastic expansion chamber (33) and two additional wedge insertions (30).
