Abstract:
Provided are a fastener supplying device (20) capable of extremely easily and quickly mounting a fastener to target objects such as socks, and the fastener (1). A fastener supplying device (20) supplies fasteners (1) each having an upper and lower pair of clamp plates (2, 2) and also each having a bend (3), and the clamp plates (2, 2) comprise projections (11) having horizontal surfaces (12) and respectively projecting upward and downward. The fastener supplying device (20) is provided with a supplying body (24) having a fastener path (69) capable of allowing the fasteners (1) to pass forward therethrough and also having an outlet opening (70) mounted to the front end of the fastener path (69), a pressing section (74) for sending the fasteners (1) located in the fastener path (69) to the outlet opening (70) while opening and closing front end sections (5) of the fasteners, and an upstanding section (23) provided so as to communicate with the fastener path (69) and having a housing chamber (59) for housing a large number of the fasteners (1) such that the fasteners (1) are stacked in a single vertical row while being individually held in a substantially horizontal position.
