Abstract:
The invention concerns a device for a pole (1), which is tensioned between a floor profile and ceiling profile (2, 3) of the platform body of a goods vehicle and which comprises pole end parts (4, 5) interconnected by means of an upright (6). A threaded joint (7) with a nut (8) and a threaded part (9) of said upright (6) is arranged to allow continuous length adjustment of the effective length (L) of said upright and accordingly also of the pole (1).

C l a i m s

1. Device for a pole (1), which is tensioned between floor profile and ceiling profile (2, 3) of the platform body of a goods vehicle and which comprises pole end parts (4, 5) interconnected by means of an upright (6) , characterized in that a threaded joint (7) with a nut (8) and a threaded part (9) of said upright (6) is

arranged to allow continuous length adjustment of the effective length (1) of said upright, that the upright (6) is formed of a rod having threads (17) situated at the end portion (6B) of the rod turned downward (16) , and the settable end part (6A) of the upright (6) being formed of a threaded set screw, which is arranged to rest against a key (10) , viz. a block-like locking part provided with a handle, which is receivable in mating recesses (11) situated on different levels (12-12C.) of a ladder (13) attached to the pole (1) .

Device according to claim 1, characterized in that the upper end portion (6B) of the upright is attached to an upper movable part (5) of the pole (1) and which movable part (5) comprises a row(s) of holes of holes (14) to which the upper end portion (6B) of said upright is attachable via screw joint (s) (15), wherein, by means of lower and upper, respectively, situated fixed positions between holes (14) and recesses (11) of said movable part (5) and the ladder (13) , respectively, the pole length (L) is arranged to be possible to be regulated in predetermined fixed steps (I; II) .

Device according to claim 2, characterized in that, by means of the threaded joint (7) of the settable upright with the nut (8) and the threaded part (9) of the upright (6), the length (L) of the pole may furthermore be arranged to be possible to be tuned continuously along a portion (III) between said fixed steps (I; II) .

Description:
Device for a tensioned pole The present invention concerns a device for a pole, which is tensioned between floor profile and ceiling profile of the platform body of a goods vehicle and which comprises pole end parts interconnected by means of an upright .

For a pole of the above-mentioned kind, and which are provided with or without telescoping

function, problems exist that the poles should get the correct tensioning length. In that connection, different means and adjusting methods are used, which most often are limited to adjustment into fixed determined steps and which are placed in the respective upper parts of the poles .

By DE 20 2008 010496 Ul , it is previously known, in vertical support poles of vehicle platform bodies, to arrange an adjustable lengthening piece in the form of a threaded rod with a nut to be able to adjust the proper tensioning mechanism of the pole in question to the space of the platform body along which the poles are distributed. However, any mechanism to be able to tune the length of the poles and accordingly the effective height thereof is not seen therein.

The main object of the present patent application is primarily to solve, among others, the problems mentioned above by simple, reliable, and

efficiently working means. A further object of the

invention is to provide a device that solves the problem of placing adjustment means, in order to regulate the respective length of the poles, at the respective lower end portions of the poles.

Said object is achieved by means of a device according to the present invention, which

essentially is characterized in that a threaded joint with a nut and a threaded part of said upright is arranged to allow continuous length adjustment of the effective length of said upright, that the upright is formed of a rod having threads situated at the end portion of the rod turned downward, and the settable end part of the upright being formed of a threaded set screw, which is arranged to rest against a key, viz. a block-like locking part

provided with a handle, which is receivable in mating recesses situated on different levels of a ladder attached to the pole.

following in the form of a preferred embodiment example, reference being made to the accompanying drawings, in which,

Fig 1 shows in perspective obliquely from the front a vehicle pole in an active supporting state between a floor profile and a ceiling profile,

Fig 2 shows a part of the adjustment mechanism of the pole for continuous length regulation,

Fig 3 shows in perspective the upper end part of the pole as well as the length adjustment

mechanism interconnected thereto,

adjustment mechanism, and

Fig 5 shows a lower part of the upper end part of the pole.

In order for a pole 1, with or without telescoping function, which is tensioned between a floor and a ceiling profile 2 and 3, respectively, of the platform body of a goods vehicle, to have the correct tensioning length L of said pole 1, which comprises pole end parts 4, 5 and an upright 6 interconnecting and binding together the same, means are provided therefor on said pole 1.

According to the invention, said means is formed of a threaded joint 7, which comprises a nut 8 and a threaded part 9 of said upright 6. By means of said threaded joint 7, continuous adjustment is allowed of the intended length of the effective length L of said upright and accordingly also of the pole.

Said threaded joint 7 is arranged in the lower end part 6A of the upright to allow a simple and practical access thereof when need arises of desired fine adjustment of the effective length L of the pole. In that connection, the settable end part 6A of the upright 6 is formed of a threaded set screw, which is arranged to rest against an adjustable key 10, a block-like locking part provided with a handle, which is receivable in mating recesses 11 situated on different levels 12, 12A, 12B, 12C... of a ladder 13 that is attached to the pole 1. A coupling mechanism 30 of known type in the form of a pivotably mounted handle for the locking of the pole is situated at the lower end of the pole.

The upper end portion 6B of the pole is attached to an upper movable part 5 of the pole 1. Said upper movable part 5 of the pole 1 comprises one or more row(s) of holes of holes 14 to which the upper end portion 6B of said upright is attachable via screw join (s) 15 in fixed determined steps.

By means of the lower and upper,

respectively, situated fixed positions, the pole length L is arranged to be possible to be regulated in

predetermined fixed steps I; II along certain steps I; II. However, thanks to the present invention, by means of the threaded joint 7 of the settable upright, with a nut 8 and the threaded part 9 of the upright 6 , the length L of the pole may furthermore be arranged to be possible to be tuned continuously along a portion III. A said upright 6 is formed of a rod having said threaded part 9 situated at one end 6B of the rod, viz. at the end portion 6B of the rod turned downward 16 by said end 6B of the rod being provided with threads 17.

The function and nature of the invention should have been clearly understood from the above- mentioned and also with knowledge of what is shown in the drawings but the invention is naturally not limited to the embodiments described above and shown in the accompanying drawings. Modifications are feasible, particularly as for the nature of the different parts, or by using an

equivalent technique, without departing from the

protection area of the invention, such as it is defined in the claims.
