Abstract:
A device (1) for transversal perforation, at high speed, of a flow of paper documents comprising a first and a second roller (4, 4') that are adjacent to each other and that rotate about a same rotation axis (15). In particular, each roller (4, 4') has a plurality of cutting blades (14, 14') that are parallel to the' axis (15) and that are adapted to provide a transversal cut on the flow of paper (16) that runs, at high speed, on a counter- support roller (3). Each roller (4, 4') is operated independently by actuating means (8) (8') cause them to rotate in order to achieve selectively a linear cutting speed or a linear approaching speed. The linear cutting speed is substantially identical to the running speed of the flow of paper (16) and to that of the counter-support (3), in order to make on the flow of paper (16) a transversal perforation/cut. Vice-versa, the linear approaching speed is different from the running speed of the flow of paper (16) in order to carry out an approaching movement to prepare making a next transversal cut.
