Abstract:

Disclosed according to the present invention are a device for updating the map of a mobile robot and a method therefor. The device for updating the map of a mobile robot according to the present invention comprises: a key frame initialization unit for initializing seeds constituting a key frame at the starting position of the mobile robot; and a key frame update unit for projecting the seeds of the key frame, if a current position is determined by using the given key frame as the position of the mobile robot is moved, and updating the key frame with respect to the current position by using the parallax of the projected seeds.
