Description:
DEVICE FOR USE IN MEDIUM VOLTAGE PANELS

Field of the Invention

The present invention reiates to a device developed for use in medium voltage panels as a wall bushing for the passing through the wall, a current transformer for current measurement, and a capacitive voltage divider for voltage indication.

State of the Art

Medium voltage panels are electrical panels used for switching voltage values between 6.3 kV and 36 kV. These panels are also known as medium voltage cubicles. In the state of the art, medium voltage panel manufacturers operate the passing with a wall bushing, current measurement with a current transformer, and voltage indication with a capacitive voltage divider insulator. Different devices are used for each of these three functions. This situation increases costs, assembly labor costs and assembly time. To overcome these technical problems, a new stand-alone device is needed to perform multiple functions, instead of using separate devices for each of these functions.

Brief Description of the Invention

The present invention relates to a device used in medium voltage panels to solve the above- mentioned technical problems and bring new advantages to the relevant technical field.

The object of the invention is to provide a stand-alone device that can perform multiple functions of a wall bushing, a current transformer, and a capacitive voltage divider and insulator.

It has the ability to perform three functions (a wall bushing for the passing through the wall, a current transformer for current measurement and a capacitive voltage divider for voltage indication) by itself which is performed by three different devices in the state of the art. The invention also makes it possible to realize a device capable of performing only 2 functions, namely transformer and bushing functions, instead of these 3 functions.

Another object of the present invention is to realize a new device that shortens assembly times, reduces purchasing and assembly labor costs, and facilitates labor in medium voltage panels.

In the device according to the invention, the wall bushing performs the insulation function, the device also has the functions of a measuring transformer and a voltage divider, thus saving copper, transformer, and voltage divider bushings in the panel.

In the present invention, wall bushing, current measurement, and capacitive voltage dividing features are provided through a single device and said device fulfills the standard requirements of IEC 60137, and IEC 61869-2 for all 3 functions separately. The invention has been developed to provide a device that occupies less space and offers low material cost advantages, instead of space losses and high material costs in the panels.

Detailed Description of the Invention

In this detailed description, the device according to the invention is described only for a better understanding of the subject matter and has no limiting sense.

The present invention relates to a stand-alone device that enables multiple functions to be performed in medium voltage panels (12/17.5/24/36 kV) as a wall bushing for the passage through the wall, current transformer for current measurement and capacitive voltage divider for voltage indication.

The present invention is a device that combines transformer and bushing functions in medium voltage panels, characterized in that it comprises;

« at least one bushing section (8) with a body that provides insulation for the passing through the wall (A) by not transmitting the voltage in the conductor passing through the device to the panel,

® at least one secondary winding current transformer (9) that is located in the middle of the bushing section (8) and serves as a transformer to be used in current measurement.

When an energized conductor is passed through the device developed according to the present invention, the value can be read from the end of the secondary winding (7) of the current transformer by its transformer feature. Said device comprises Medium Voltage Wall Bushing as well as Medium Voltage Current Transformers, and a conductor voltage divider (capacitive) that contains insulation resistance without a primary' conductor therein. Here the definition of “without primary' conductor” means that it does not contain primary copper, or aluminum (conductive), and is based on test voltages corresponding to the Maximum voltage in IEC60137 and IEC 61869-2 standards.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, said device (1) does not include a primary conductor to transfer the current, and the user must place a conductor carrying the primary' current when using this device in the panel.

For this purpose, said device (1) preferably includes a busbar holder. The user connects the primary winding via the busbar holder (1 1) and provides its electrical connection via the primary' terminal (5). Here, the busbar holder (11) must be perceived as a winding holder.

In an alternative embodiment of the present invention, the primary' conductor can be found already prepared in the device (1), and its electrical connection is provided via the primary terminal (5).

As seen in Figure 2, the invention provides the wall bushing for the passing through the wall (A), so that the voltage in the conductor passing through it is not transmitted to the panel (ground) (thus, insulated). It is ensured that the voltage in the conductor passing through it is not transmitted (thus, insulated) to the panel (ground) with the bushing insulation function provided by the bushing section (8), and the high voltage passing through the conductor is divided with the help of the capacitive circuit element output (2) and it is provided to indicate that there is voltage in the system by turning on the low voltage bulbs in the indicators.

In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the devi ce (1) further comprises,

® at least one capacitive circuit element (10) in connection with the winding current transformer (9), which functions as a capacitive voltage divider in the bushing section (8) and enables the voltage in the conductor passing through the device (1) to be divided and used as a signal. The device (1) developed for use in medium voltage panels generally includes at least one bushing section (8) and at least one winding current transformer (9). In another preferred embodiment, it also includes at least one capacitive circuit element (10).

Preferably, the busbar holder (11) is electrically connected with said capacitive circuit element (10).

There is at least one bushing section (8) to provide insulation for the passing through the wall (A). The material with high insulating properties, preferably containing cast resin forms the body, and the thickness and shape of this material serve as insulation in the bushing section (8).

There is at least one secondary winding current transformer (9) positioned in the middle of the bushing section (8) and acting as a transformer to be used in current measurement. It is possible to measure how much current flows through the transformer by measuring the end of a cable taken from here.

The current transformer secondary? winding terminals (7) include the primary winding terminal (5), and secondary' winding terminal (6). Again, there is a capacitive circuit element (TO) in the bushing section (8). This element functions as a capacitive voltage divider.

There is at least one capacitive circuit element (9) inside the bushing section (8) that functions as a capacitive voltage divider. It is possible to use the voltage as a signal by dividing the voltage through the conductor passing through the device into a very small part with the help of the capacitive circuit element (9). Capacitive circuit element output (2) is shown in the figures. The capacitive circuit element (10) is connected to the winding current transformer (9).

While in the present invention can be combined with a transformer, bushing, and capacitive feature, as another alternative embodiment, it can also be applied with only transformer and bushing features.
