Abstract:
A device for a vehicle running test, in which, during a running test, torque equivalent to running resistance N that is a value corresponding to running resistance on an actual road is applied to rollers (3) on which wheels (2) of an automobile (1) are placed. During the running test, an actual friction coefficient μch between the wheels (2) and the rollers (3) is obtained, and the running resistance N is corrected so that the friction coefficient μch and a friction coefficient μj on the actual road calculated based on a slip ratio of the wheels (2) relative to the rollers (3) are equal to each other. This causes that, when torque equivalent to the corrected running resistance N is applied to the rollers (3), running resistance that the automobile (1) receives from the rollers (3) to be closer to running resistance of the automobile (1) on the actual road. This prevents drive force that the automobile (1) produces during the running test from varying from driver force obtained in running on the actual road.
