Abstract:
The welding device comprises a heating means and a pressing means for pressing the surfaces of the portions of the thermoplastic resin materials (2a, 2b) that are to be welded and the vicinity thereof in a direction perpendicular to the axis of a core (1), and is configured so that: the surfaces of the portions of the thermoplastic resin materials to be welded are pressed with the pressing means at a prescribed pressure; then without changing the relative positions of the pressing means and the surfaces of the portions of the thermoplastic resin materials to be welded in the pressing region, pressing is continued to spread the pressed region in the axial direction of the core while the portions of the thermoplastic resin materials to be welded are heated and welded by the heating means; and after completion of the welding, the pressure of the pressing means is reduced to stop the pressing of the thermoplastic resin material and the thermoplastic resin material covering the core is removed.
