Abstract:
Provided is a device (1) for working in a water chamber, the device (1) comprising: a moving body which moves along a tube plate (12) of a vapor generator (10); an extendable member (21) which retracts and extends in such a way that a first linking part (21d) and a second linking part (21e) approach or recede from each other, wherein the first linking part (21d) is attached to a manhole (15) by way of a first universal joint (23a) that has two mutually intersecting rotation axes, and the second linking part (21e) is attached to the moving body by way of a second universal joint (23b) that has two mutually intersecting rotation axes independent of the rotation axes of the first universal joint (23a); a pressing spring (22) which applies a force to the extendable member (21) in the direction in which the first linking part (21d) and the second linking part (21e) recede from each other; and a supporting electric motor (24) and a counterweight structure (25) which apply a force to the extendable member (21) to rotate the extendable member (21) using the first universal joint (23a) as a supporting point, in such a way that the second linking part (21e) approaches the tube plate (12).
