Abstract:

Devices and methods for magnetically centering and retrieving intravascular devices within a body lumen are disclosed. An intravascular filter (10) in accordance with an illustrative embodiment may comprise an expandable filter structure having at least one magnetic element (24) formed therein. The intravascular filter can be retrieved using a magnetic retrieval device (30) that includes a magnetic retrieval mechanism (54) for centering and retrieving the intravascular filter.
