Abstract:
The present invention relates to a diagnosis method and diagnostic device for distinguishing types of dry eye syndrome. The method comprises: (a) a tear film destruction time point and location checking step of photographing the cornea of an eye of a subject being examined, and checking in time series over time at least one tear film destruction time point at which a broken appearance is identified in an image reflected from the cornea being photographed; (b) a corneal surface temperature checking step of measuring the surface temperature of the cornea of the subject being examined, by using a thermal imaging camera and checking in time series a change in the surface temperature of the cornea over time, the step being performed simultaneously with the photographing of the tear film of the eye; (c) a step of, by mapping, on a time basis, the at least one tear film destruction time point and the change in the surface temperature of the cornea, comparing locations of the at least one tear film destruction time point and the surface temperature of the cornea; and (d) a dry eye syndrome diagnosis step of diagnosing a type of dry eye syndrome on the basis of any one location of the at least one tear film destruction time point and the location of a time point of the change in the surface temperature of the cornea, corresponding thereto, based on the mapping results from step (c).
