Abstract:
In the present invention, a transmission control unit (10) comprises a selection operation time control unit (100) and a mis-coupling diagnosis control unit (101). The selection operation time control unit (100), when there is a selection operation from the D range or the R range to the N range, puts all friction elements into a released state and then, when vehicle speed (VSP) falls below a prescribed level, puts one of three friction elements that are coupled when transitioning to a prescribed gear stage into a released state and puts the other two friction elements into a coupled state. The mis-coupling diagnosis control unit (101), before all of the friction elements are put into a released state, outputs a release instruction to one friction element, confirms a change in the rotational rate of a transmission input shaft after the release instruction has been output, and, if there is no change in a turbine rotational rate (Nt), reaches a diagnosis that the friction element instructed for release is in a mis-coupled state where the friction element cannot be released.
