Abstract:
Provided is a diagnostic imaging device such as an MRI device, wherein image quality is improved by correction processing, and imaging time has been reduced. In this diagnostic imaging device, a noise reduction unit 201 reduces noise in observation data which has been acquired by an observation unit 100 and converted into an image, and an image correction unit 202 corrects the noise-reduced data by correction processing using the visual characteristics of humans. The image correction unit 202 separates the noise reduced data into a global luminance component and a local fluctuating component, uses the global luminance component to generate a correction level map, and corrects the noise-reduced data using the correction degree map and the local fluctuation component in order to obtain a high quality image which is clinically viable.
