Abstract:
The present invention relates to a diagnostic method for systemic lupus erythematosus using an antigen protein binding specifically to an SMYD3 autoantibody present in the blood of a patient with systemic lupus erythematosus. The diagnostic method of the present invention utilizes a noninvasive biological sample, such as blood, and thus, unlike a conventional diagnostic method, may be used to diagnose systemic lupus erythematosus in a very convenient manner without causing the patient any discomfort, and also, due to high specificity and sensitivity, may be beneficially used to make an early diagnosis of systemic lupus erythematosus.
