Abstract:
A diagnostic system for a vehicle electrical system having a DC-DC voltage converter and a voltage regulator is provided. A first monitoring application sets a first voltage regulator state flag to be the same as a first fault value when a first voltage value is greater than a first maximum voltage value. A first diagnostic handler application switches a high-voltage switch and a low-voltage switch to an open operation state when the first voltage regulator state flag is the same as the first fault value. A second monitoring application sets a second voltage regulator state flag to be the same as a second fault value when a second voltage value is less than a first minimum voltage value. A second diagnostic handler application switches the high-voltage switch and the low-voltage switch to the open operation state when the second voltage regulator state flag is the same as the second fault value.
