Title:
DIAGNOSTICS AND THERAPEUTICS FOR DISEASES ASSOCIATED WITH HUMAN PHOSPHODIESTERASE 11A3 (PDE11A3)
Document Type and Number:
WIPO Patent Application WO2004042386
Kind Code:
A3
Abstract:
The invention provides a human PDE11A3 which is associated with the disorders of the peripheral and central nervous system (e.g. Alzheimer), cancer (e.g. lung tumor, breast tumor), gastroenterological diseases (e.g. liver cirrhosis), reproduction disorders and urological diseases. The invention also provides assays for the identification of compounds useful in the treatment or prevention of disorders of the peripheral and central nervous system, cancer, gastroenterological diseases, reproduction disorders and urological diseases. The invention also features compounds which bind to and/or activate or inhibit the activity of PDE11A3 as well as pharmaceutical compositions comprising such compounds.
