Abstract:
A dialkyl peroxide including a thioxanthone group, characterized by being represented by general formula (1) (wherein R1, R2, R3, and R4 each independently represent a methyl or ethyl group; R5 represents a C1-6 alkyl group or a phenyl group; the R6 moieties are independent substituents and R6 represents a C1-4 alkyl group, a C1-4 alkoxy group, or a chlorine atom; and n is an integer of 0-2). The dialkyl peroxide has both the property of inducing photopolymerization by efficiently absorbing light having a wavelength of, for example, 365 nm, emitted from a lamp, e.g., a high-pressure mercury lamp or an LED lamp, and thereby generating a radical and the property of inducing thermopolymerization by thermally generating a radical.
