Abstract:
The present invention does not require a complicated operation for dialogists to hold a dialogue while viewing each other's images, and prevents the presence of an image display screen from being noticed when no dialogue is held.
A first unit of a dialogist generates and transmits first data indicating an image of the dialogist, and a second unit of a partner dialogist shows the image of the dialogist on a display screen by expanding the first data received via a communication line, and generates and transmits second data indicating an image of the partner dialogist present in front of the display screen. Further, the second unit comprises a human sensor which detects that the partner dialogist is present in a predetermined position in a house, and a display-cum-mirror (25) which functions as a full-length mirror and forms the display screen. The display-cum-mirror (25) gives an external appearance as part of the full-length mirror without forming the display screen during a period in which the human sensor does not detect that the partner dialogist is present in the predetermined position, and forms the display screen only during a period in which the human sensor is performing detection.
